Hill St Studio - Couples Getaway

Sitting on the corner of King and Hill Streets means that you can walk down the King St and through the path to what is arguably Merimbula¿s best kept secret in Bar Beach. Bar Beach is home to a great swimming beach, a short paddle to some great surf, the Bar Beach Kiosk which has become a local morning institution and a fantastic BBQ area.

The Shack:

Our classic beach shack is located in one of the most popular areas of Merimbula, situated just out of the hustle and bustle but still close enough to all the facilities and beaches Merimbula has to offer. The Shack gives a comfortable fresh air feeling, with the living area and kitchen that opens up to a fantastic deck over looking Bar Beach and Merimbula Lake.

The old cottage has been restored with love. You will be met with some extraordinary views and a huge front balcony with a seating area and BBQ facilities. The Shack is simple and cozy, a real rustic retreat for those looking for a low fuss holiday! Take time out and relax on the balcony overlooking the bay and Merimbula Lake or walk down the hill for a coffee at the Kiosk.

The Studio:
The studio itself is a brand new build with polished concrete floor throughout, a stunning covered deck with ocean views and a sleek kitchen. A BBQ, dining, sitting and bathroom, with walk-in shower complete the package.

Please note that there are no laundry facilities on site at present. Please also be aware that the shack does share the massive corner block with its daughter, `Hill St Studio

Modern Cosy studio near Bar Point Beach Cafe

Conveniently located close to Bar beach and Kiosk (5 min walk) and positioned in a quiet and safe area in the beautiful Long Point area. Walking distance to Short Point Beach. Accomodation has all modern amenities including reverse cycle air conditioning/heating (handy for humid hot days and cool nights), great sized dining table, fridge/freezer, pantry storage, widescreen TV, beautiful modern bathroom with rainshower, good sized storage for toiletries and louvre windows for great ventilation. It’s was very enjoyable sitting on the deck watching the sunsets and bird life and you have access to an outdoor BBQ, outdoor shower and hose which was really convenient. Note: this place is for couples, singles or 2 persons sharing a Queen bed. There is also no washing machine or block out blinds. The kitchen also does not have a full sized oven or dishwasher. Other than that this place is perfect for short getaways in the heart of Long Point and Merimbula and great for travellers who like to eat out and occasionally cook simple meals in the kitchen. It was a great place to stay over Xmas and remarkably quiet and peaceful despite this being the busiest time of year. As Merimbula is generally humid, a ceiling fan above the kitchen table and bed would be perfect. Hosts were great at communication and providing tips and recommendations. Will return again.
