Great spot
Out of town but not too far. Quiet and relaxing. Seemed like being upstairs above the owner and having the hot tub close to their part of the house would be odd but it was fine. Very nice vibe all of the natural wood.

Perfect getaway
Took a couple days to explore the trails and coastline of the island with my little pup. Amanda’s spot was the perfect space to come home to. Every element was perfectly curated to feel at home and cared for. The property was welcoming and fun. I will definitely be coming back, the location was perfect for exploring with some great spots close by for food and drinks (My Chosen Cafe was awesome and nearby Sooke breweries had great staff and friendly clientele). Amazing hosts, very grateful.

Countryside Getaway
We are visiting family and wanted to get away for the weekend with our children and grandkids. This place is in the country area, which is what we love. The guest house which we stayed was perfect, beautiful decor, comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen with all the utensils you need. There is an outside fire ring for you to build your own fire. There is also an ax there to split your own firewood as well as make your own kindling wood to start with. Beautiful views, beautiful grounds and property.

Thanksgiving - home away from home
We made a long weekend getaway for thanksgiving and this property was perfect. It was so amazingly quiet and peaceful. Very close to a little lake to do some light hiking. Close enough to some larger towns to get what you need and then a beautiful drive to peaceful retreat. The grounds are lovely and well kept.

A refuge in the storm
We were camping on the west coast when the predicted 4 days of rain started. Dave and Amanda’s place was a refuge in the storm. It’s a beautiful house with nice touches of art and wood floors and ceilings. We were so comfortable and the hosts so gracious. We found everything we needed in the kitchen and fresh flowers on the table. It’s a beautiful, peaceful place to spend time. We hope to come back in the future.
